Season Starts Here for U15s

Unbelievably, Gregs Army played their first league game of the season at Colne tonight. After a two month pre season, the lads were well up for this one.
The Horsfield was in fine fettle and after winning the toss, our hosts invited us to have a tonk.
Tommo and Tommo strolled out of the pavilion giggling like a right pair. Having been schooled in the art of playing straight, one was a little disturbed to see the dafter Tommo cart one into the car park. However, after a few sighters, the runs began to flow. Will Currey joined the little fella and boundaries did flow until he was out for 42 and in the process recorded an unconventional ton for the day, after scoring two 30*s at the cricket festival beforehand. JPT fell on 44 trying to smash one out of the ground…stupid boy, McFlurry only on offer for a red inker. There was a nice cameo from Reece at the end, hitting the ball hard and true.
Chasing 128, colne never looked like challenging in the face of some tight bowling from the Towers attack and ended up on 90.
A winning start to the campaign, let’s keep up the momentum fellas.
